Our Firm Invited to Participate in the 1st Anniversary Forum of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club (HKAC)

On 10 September 2024, the anniversary forum of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club (“Forum”) and the Hong Kong "Belt and Road" Summit Forum were successfully held at the Four Seasons Hotel. Long An & Lam LLP was honored to be invited to participate in this prestigious event.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. John Lee Ka-chiu, attended the Forum and delivered a speech/an address. Chief Executive Mr. John Lee Ka-chiu acknowledged/ recognized the significant achievements of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club over the past year, notably establishing institutions worldwide, launching operations, and organizing seven business delegations to the Middle East, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other regions for inspections and exchanges. He expressed hope that the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club would continue to support Hong Kong's accession to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Following Chief Executive Lee's address, Mr. Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, a non-official member of the Hong Kong Executive Council, a member of the Legislative Council and the Founder of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club, along with Mr. Peter Lam Kin Ngok, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and Dr. Victor Fung Kwok-king, Group Chairman of the Fung Group, who each delivered speeches/remarks. More than 300 high-level business guests from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East graced the Forum with their presence.

The Hong Kong Ambassadors Club (HKAC) was established in 2023 as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Hong Kong's international brand image. Its mission is to develop high-level projects that enhance/foster trade and investment relations between Hong Kong and strategic regions such as the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Patrick Tsang, a partner at Long An & Lam LLP and Chairman of the family office Tsangs Group, serves as a co-founder of the Hong Kong Ambassadors Club. He holds qualifications to practice law in Hong Kong, and England and Wales, specializing in family offices, international business operations, and investment. As an accomplished investor, he has overseen a project that was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), yielding a remarkable return of over 300 times the initial investment.

Mr. William Lam, Managing Partner at Long An & Lam LLP and Mr. Hugo Chan, the Senior Consultant at Long An & Lam LLP, along with valued partners in family office, investment financing, and insurance sectors, were invited to attend the Forum. They engaged in collaborative discussions/exchanges with guests from Mainland China, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other regions.
